MRS. Ikpeazu remarks children Day

Yeah! It was a Children's Day that will be long remembered.

The Wife of the Abia State Governor Mrs. Nkechi  Ikpeazu,  urged parents  to inculcate good moral values and the fear of God in their children in order to produce responsible leaders of tomorrow.

Mrs.Ikpeazu stated this at the Daughters of Mary Mother of Mercy Compassionate Home Ahiaeke Umuahia Abia State, during the 2016 Childrens Day Celebration.

She charged the children to be focused and determined in order to attain their goals in life trusting in God who is the lifter of persons and encouraged them to take their studies seriously not negelecting the admonition of their parents.

Mrs. Ikpeazu disclosed that the party was taken to the venue to give the less privileged children a sense of belonging expressing that the Governor Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu has a lot in stock to better the welfare of children.

In her address the Matron of the compassionate home Rev. Sister Anita Ogbonna said that they are overjoyed at the presence of the wife of the governor and other children marking the Children’s Day in their home.

Redsponding on behalf of the Children, Miss Paul Miracle and Master Godswill Udensi thanked the Wife of the Governor for celebrating with them and requested that education should be made affordable for all.

The event featured cutting of cake, children’s dances and distribution of gifts to the children by the wife of the Governor.
